Cranston Engineering celebrates 50 Years, unveils new logo

May 4th, 2017 | By Meredith Boylan

Many great inventions came out of 1967: the first heart transplant, the ATM, the first Super Bowl and the merger between two leading Augusta engineering firms which resulted in Baldwin & Cranston Associates, Inc. Over the years, Baldwin & Cranston Associates changed its name (and office location) a few times before becoming the Cranston Engineering Group we know today.

Cranston Engineering is proud to celebrate 50 years in business in 2017. To recognize this milestone, we recently engineered a street party at our main offices in downtown Augusta. We enjoyed the opportunity to look back over the years with our clients and friends, and were particularly honored to host several family members of Craig Cranston and Ed Baldwin, the company’s founders.

The street party was also the perfect time to unveil Cranston’s new logo. We believe this new branding perfectly captures the firm’s forward-thinking culture while celebrating our heritage.

Thank you to our clients and friends for their support throughout the years. Our 50th year is already off to a great start with several exciting projects underway. We look forward to these and other future projects going from the drawing board to reality in the coming months.

Listen here as Cranston Engineering President Tom Robertson, who has been with the company since 1972, speaks about the firm’s past and present in light of the 50th anniversary on Augusta’s Buzz on Biz podcast.
