Helping to make our streets and communities great places to walk

This month Mitchell Murchison, Cranston Project Manager for our Civil Design Group, lent his expertise to the 2017 Georgia Walks Summit in a presentation on increasing ADA accessibility. The Georgia Walks Summit is an annual statewide gathering of transportation experts and other community stakeholders “committed to making our streets and communities great places to walk.” Mitchell’s presentation, posted below, was based on his recent work with the City of Augusta on their Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition and Self-Evaluation Plan, which seeks to make our community more accessible for everyone through improving public right of way facilities. You can read more about this project and see the draft plan on Augusta’s website by clicking here.
